I'm pretty impressed with the Fiberglass Umbrella. I always thought of wind resistant as being "strong enough" to withstand wind. Now that I know that these umbrellas actually sway with the wind, I can see why they are such a good investment.

I've been looking for an umbrella for our windy location. We're close to high rise buildings, and the wind shear coming off the side of the buildings is massive. I've had a couple of umbrellas break over the past two years. Thanks for the info.

That's some awesome information! I'm glad you shared it. I was just about to order an umbrella and was totally confused about fiberglass ribs, and now I know that their probably best for our family. I've got a 13 year old and 11 year old who are as energetic as any hurricane, so this is perfect defense against broken ribs.
